Thinking Spring!

Suddenly, my hand recoils from the brown wool sweaters in my closet.

I reach for happy colors like springy greens.

Soft beach blues...

and creamy hues.

Feminine, frilly, full of hope and rebirth.

Here's a little peek at some Spring inspired jewelry.

Listing soon, at Age Before Beauty.

Pralines and Cream

mmmmmmmm, I love pralines and cream.

Here's a little peek at a sweet and creamy colored bracelet.

An eclectic potpourri of vintage chains, mother of pearl, crystal links, and fancy capped rosary bits.

A stunning oxidized sterling silver clasp---
not old, but it looks it, doesn't it?

And this lovely centerpiece--- from a broken, unsigned, antique necklace---
This beautiful glass pearl certainly has the patina, quality and creaminess of a true
Miriam Haskell piece.

Deck your lobes...

Deck your lobes with lovely earwear.

Fa la la la la, la la la laaaaaa,

I'm making some pretty blingy bits for your ears. All are sterling wire wrapped and boast sterling findings.

Old religious medals, antique beads,

fabulous Victorian buttons, creamy mother of pearl,

 Edwardian purse clips,

and lots of fun and festivity to boot.

I'll be at the Craft and Fancy Show this Saturday.
And for all of you who also would like sparkling ear bling for the holidays, please check my etsy shop, Age Before Beauty.

Deck your lobes, and your neck,... who cares about the halls?

How Do I Love Thee?

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight

For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.

I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.

I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;

I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.

I love thee with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.

I love thee with a love I seemed to lose

With my lost saints, --- I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! --- and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.
