Thinking Spring!

Suddenly, my hand recoils from the brown wool sweaters in my closet.

I reach for happy colors like springy greens.

Soft beach blues...

and creamy hues.

Feminine, frilly, full of hope and rebirth.

Here's a little peek at some Spring inspired jewelry.

Listing soon, at Age Before Beauty.

Tidings of Comfort and Joy...

God rest ye merry, gentlemen,
Let nothing you dismay,

Remember Christ our Savior
Was born on Christmas day,

To save us all from Satan's pow'r
When we were gone astray;
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy,
O tidings of comfort and joy.

From God our heavenly Father
A blessed angel came.

And unto certain shepherds
Brought tidings of the same,

How that in Bethlehem was born
The Son of God by name:
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy,
O tidings of comfort and joy.

Happy Holidays from,

Heart of Jesus

Since opening my etsy jewelry shop,  Age Before Beauty, I have gained a love and appreciation for old religious pieces. It seems fitting to incorporate them into my jewelry as the sentiment and meaning is so heartfelt. I especially look forward to introducing more religious pieces for the holidays.

This necklace that I have just listed at ABB has the most lovely old scapular as its centerpiece. The image itself is behind celluloid and can slide in and out. The frame opening is cut in the shape of a heart.
I've embellished a broken antique wood rosary with vintage moss stones, rhinestones, antique mother of pearls and vintage brass filigree beads.
